Tricks and Treats (and Books) at Moorestown Library

Bring your kids by the Moorestown Library this weekend and on Halloween day for fun activities that won't rot their teeth.

It’s every kid’s favorite time of year: Halloween! Halloween magic is in the air at the Moorestown Library with plenty of fun tricks and treats for children of all ages.

For an early taste of Halloween, drop in to the Children’s Room between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 27, to decorate a spooky wrapper that will turn an ordinary Hershey’s bar into a vampire, ghost or bat. Be sure to come early—it’s one candy bar per child, while supplies last.

That same day, South Jersey Boys Read will be treating young booklovers to two special events filled with Halloween spirit. Boys in grades 2 and 3 are invited to sign up to explore Bruce Coville’s magically fun series, Moongobble and Me, beginning at 10 a.m. Boys in grades 4 and 5 can dig into the underground world of Suzanne Collins’ Gregor the Overlander at 11 a.m. Both of these events require advance registration. Contact the library at 856-234-0333, ext. 5 to register.

Finally, don’t forget to add the Moorestown Library to your trick-or-treating route on Halloween. Children who visit the library that day in costume can pick out a paperback picture book or easy reader as our special Halloween treat.
