Video: Town Hall Demolition

The building should be completely razed by the end of the week.

Crews from Mazza Construction began the demolition of the municipal building—unoccupied since it was damaged by fire in 2007—early Tuesday morning. They're expected to continue throughout the week and have the building to the ground by week's end.

Let's spend on our own first. Build the town hall, secure the 10 jobs. Get Americans working and America will be strong again. We could still hope for the infamous "stimulus shovel ready funds" for the library.

Here, Here! Jobs are good!!! Ya know... It's a nice thought that many people in our town have a brick from the first building that had been here. everyone from the class of 1936 was given one at one of their class reunions the year the old high school was demolished; my 92-year-old mom being one of them. But I don't know of anyone who would've wanted to save anything from the town hall. Personally, I thought it was a waste of space, and I heard that from some who had worked there.
