Want to Create a Mini Moorestown?

The Moorestown Library is planning a bunch of activities for National Library Week next month.

National Library Week is fast approaching (April 14-20), and Moorestown Library is gearing up to celebrate with this year’s theme: "Communities Matter @ Your Library."

We’re planning a special evening of music with local singer/songwriter Neal Stephens at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 19. On that night, we will also welcome representatives from the many clubs and organizations in our community to host tables in the library highlighting what they do. But before the celebration can begin, we need to decorate, and we’re calling on the children of Moorestown to join us for a little "Community Building."

We want to fill the display case in our lobby with your Lego creations depicting your favorite places in Moorestown. You could build a park, a playground, a sports field, your school, your house, or even your library!

We’re breaking out the Lego collection and giving you three opportunities to come in and build your Moorestown masterpiece: from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23; 4-6 p.m. Thursday, March 28; and 7-8 p.m. Thursday, April 4.

The finished creations will be displayed in the lobby from April 8-30.
