Will Memorial Field Wall Be Back up in Time for Ceremony?

The wall was wrecked when a teenage driver accidentally plowed into it last month.

The wall at Memorial Field will be back up in time in time for next week's Memorial Day ceremony—it just might be missing a few pieces.

Public Works employees were rebuilding the wall—which was knocked down by a teenage driver in April—Monday afternoon, and township manager Scott Carew said director Ken Ewers anticipated the wall would be finished this week, ahead of Monday's ceremony.

However, the letters adorning the wall have been ordered, but have not arrived, Carew said. "The wall will be done in time. Just maybe not the letters."

He said the cost of rebuilding the wall is covered by the owner of the vehicle's insurance.
