Panzarella, a community volunteer seeking elected office for the first time, said he was “humbled” by the results.

“I am extremely honored that the people of Moorestown have chosen me and felt I was worthy of serving,” he said. “I am committed to working hard and doing what’s right for the stakeholders. That’s my pledge.”

Panzarella said he plans to step down as chairman of the township Recreation Advisory Committee, but would stay on as a board member of MooreKids.

Goldenberg, vice president of the board, said she was also honored to be re-elected to a third term.

“I am ready to work and will do everything possible to make our school district the best it possibly can be,” she said.

Goldenberg and Panzarella will be joined by Simeone, who earned a second term. Simeone referred to his fellow winners as “outstanding choices” for the board of education.

“We still have a lot of work to do,” he added. “(The results) are a vote of confidence in the board’s ability to make tough choices.”
