(Moorestown, NJ)–In observance of National Assisted Living Week®, September 8 to 14, Brandywine Senior Living at Moorestown Estates will host a series of events with their theme “Family Fun Festival” developed as a special opportunity to bring together residents, families, employees, volunteers and the surrounding community to celebrate “Homemade Happiness."
“Homemade Happiness” was chosen because it is about celebrating those times, both present and past, that brought us happiness yesterday, fulfills us today, and will inspire the memories of tomorrow.
“Homemade Happiness” celebrates the child in all of us. Whether it is a resident’s first try at hopscotch, the high school dance or their first trip to the Jersey Shore, life is about finding happiness as we move on our journey through life. Chris Gillies, Executive Director at Moorestown Estates says, “This weeklong celebration is a demonstration of the commitment assisted living professionals feel when providing care and services to residents in their communities. Home Is Where The Heart Is – Monday September 9th at 10:15 AM - How do we bridge the generational gap? A little competition, that’s how. Pulsating fun with a questions and answers game---youth vs. experience. Where will you put your money?
Home Grown Staff Spirit – Tuesday, September 10th – 10:15 AM - Making gift bags for the homeless. Join the assembly line to make those less fortunate and homeless feel like someone does care. Brandywine shows they care by cooking, plating, and serving food at Cathedral Kitchen homeless shelter.
Home on the Range - Wednesday, September 11th at 10:30 AM - It’s a Western Round Up! Enjoy the tunes of The Bobby Mansure Gang and enjoy the down home chili and corn bread. Wash it all down with dome mouthwatering Sarsaparilla!
