An Evening of Performing and Fine Arts

An Entertainment and Arts Showcase Benefitting MoorArts

The Moorestown Community House will be transformed into a cabaret stage and fine arts venue on Saturday, January 12 from 7-11 PM as MoorArts hosts its premier fundraiser featuring a lineup of professional musical artists and established fine artists.

Exciting live vocal and musical performances will entertain guests throughout the evening.  In a separate room, a gallery of exceptional watercolors, oils, and art photography will be displayed.  Throughout the evening, event guests will enjoy delicious food, wine, and craft beer. (For admission details and more information, visit www.moorarts.org.)

All proceeds from the gala and all MoorArts events support student scholarships and teacher grants in the arts in Moorestown Township Public Schools, and build arts awareness throughout the community.

Noted Broadway performer (Chicago) and Moorestown native, Christopher Newcomer, will be one of the headliners.  Newcomer got his start on the Moorestown high school stage, earning a MoorArts scholarship in his senior year.  Since then he has performed continuously and has extensive musical theatre experience as well as a professional opera background.

Also appearing on stage are two very talented performers who also guide and support student talent at Moorestown High School: MHS Theatre Director Greg Harr and MHS Director of Choral Activities Kristen Conrad.  They will be joined by former MHS Theatre Director and Director of Choral Activities and stage veteran, Jeanne Haynes.

Jen Rosario-Kent, Christine Serenbetz, and Kyrus Keenan Westcott, who have shared their talents in numerous regional musical theater productions and also in MoorArts Summer Theater shows (Into the Woods, Hairspray!, and Putnam Co. Spelling Bee), will also perform sets.

Former Miss New Jersey Erica Scanlon Harr, who performs for Disney Cruise Lines, will sing solo and participate in group numbers.  Rounding out the talented group of singers are musical theatre performer Stephen Markowski and classical singer Polly Baldridge, who both have special ties to MoorArts.

Audrey Kindsfather, an exceptional harpist and MoorArts scholarship winner who has performed all over the world, will also perform.
