The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) Shore Region is pleased to announce that it will sponsor the 2013 Donna Myers Entrepreneurial Scholarship.

A $500 scholarship will be awarded to a female resident of Monmouth, Ocean or Middlesex County with an active student status at an accredited college or university who is focused on becoming a business owner.

The scholarship is in memory of NJAWBO chapter member and past state president Donna Myers, who passed away in 2011. Myers owned the public relations agency DHM Group and was an active member of NJAWBO and NJAWBO’s Business Woman of the Year in 2000.

The application deadline for the scholarship is May 1, 2013. The application form can be downloaded at www.njawbo-monmouth.org. Applicants must submit the completed form, including a 500-word essay on “Why I Want the Scholarship and My Career Goals.” The application must specify and describe the program for which the scholarship award will be used.

The scholarship will be awarded at the NJAWBO Shore Region dinner meeting at Bella Vista Country Club, Marlboro, New Jersey, on May 23, 2013. The winner must be present that evening.

For more information or questions about the scholarship, please contact Scholarship Chairwoman Sue Fitzpatrick at Scholarship@njawbo-monmouth.org.
