Going for Baroque! Classical Music Concert

The West Jersey Chamber Music Society is starting its 2013-14 Season with
a Baroque bang. The concert October 27 will include two favorites – J.S. Bach’s
Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 and
Vivaldi’s La Tempesta di Mare concerto. The audience will thrill to
virtuoso Darin Kelly’s high notes and trills on the tiny B-flat trumpet that
make the 2d a favorite among the six Brandenburg concertos. They will enjoy the
masterful performances of the West Jersey Chamber Symphony as it brings to life Vivaldi’s mimicry of
a storm at sea.Completing the opening program are Telemann’s “Don Quixote” Suite and Albinoni’s Concerto in D-minor for
oboe, performed by Geoffrey Deemer, a WJCMS favorite. Other soloists are Igor Szwec, violin, and Gwendolyn Roberts,
recorder.

The concert, Sunday,
October 27th -- l
ike all WJCMS concerts – begins at 7:30 p.m. in the
sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, 101 Bridgeboro Road, Moorestown.
