will be hosting the annual White Cane event at the Lenola Road Acme from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 28, regardless of the weather. Lions will be asking for donations, of which 100 percent are distributed to benefit the blind/visually impaired or deaf-blind. On White Cane Day, Lions attempt to educate the public about the aspirations, hopes and abilities of people who are blind or visually impaired. In their efforts to bring public awareness and to advocate for those who are blind or visually impaired or deaf-blind, Lions hand out miniature white canes and ask for donations.
