Considering Adoption? Check Out The Burlington County Animal Shelter

Have you been considering adding a new member to your family? Here is an opportunity for you to show up and let your new pet choose you!  The Burlington County Freeholders are pleased to announce the Burlington County Animal Shelter’s “Happy Tails” adopt-a-pet program.  This program features a shelter animal each month at the County Corner store in the Moorestown Mall. The program runs from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm on the last Friday of each month.  Stop in and check out all of the “Happy Tails” looking for a forever home.

The Burlington County Animal Shelter (BCAS) is a place where county residents can take stray and unwanted animals and also can adopt a pet.  The BCAS provides spayed or neutered animals for adoption in hopes of controlling the county’s animal population.  The adoption database is currently being maintained by petfinder.com.

The shelter is the home to up to 99 dogs & 240 cats. It takes a lot of time, money, love and supplies to take care of all of these animals.  Below is a “Wish List” of some of the things that are needed to help with day-to-day care of the animals and to support the shelter.  Please consider donating any of the following items:

Canned dog food
HE laundry detergent
Dry dog food
Towels, blankets, sheets
Dog treats
Pillow cases, wash rags
Dog toys (especially plastic/rubber)
Antibacterial hand soap/hand sanitizer
Canned cat food
