Navy Vet, Willow Brook Country Club Owner Dies

Edward W. Klumpp, of Boca Raton, FL—formerly of Moorestown, Cape May and Highland Beach, FL—passed away on Oct. 2 at the age of 88.

Ed was the beloved husband of Nancy M. Klumpp for 59 years; loving father of Susan K. Williams, Nancy K. Mellon, Cynthia K. Leach, Edward W. Klumpp, Jr., Stephanie K. Nardi and Amy Klumpp; and proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren.

Ed was a former lieutenant commander pilot for the U.S. Navy (1943-46) and later in the Active Reserve (1946-85). He was also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School (B.S. economics, class of 1949), a real estate investor and developer, and owner of Willow Brook Country Club in Moorestown and Ski Mountain recreation area. He was a longstanding member of the Moorestown Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gustav and Florence, as well as his brothers Harry and Albert.

A man of great integrity and a true gentleman, Ed enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, spending time with family and friends, and watching the sunset every evening. He will be forever treasured in the hearts of all who loved him.
