Read a Book, Get Rewarded

Young readers can earn prizes at the Moorestown Library this month.

Sunshine, T-shirts, and riding around town with the car windows down—does it seem like summer in Moorestown has come a little early this year?

The is getting into the spirit by taking another favorite fixture of summer and dropping it right in the middle of winter: summer reading!

Every summer, children and teens flock to the Moorestown Library to take part in our . With great books to read and cool prizes to win, what’s not to love? This winter, for the second year in a row, the library is saying, “Why wait until summer to have all the fun?” So, we’re diving right into winter reading!

Throughout the month of February, children and teens of all ages can read books, tell a children’s librarian about them, and get a raffle ticket for each book they read. The more you read, the better your chances to win. The raffle prizes include gift cards to , iTunes, Build-A-Bear and , so there’s something to entice readers of all ages and interests. Children who aren’t yet reading on their own can tell us about books that have been read to them, so even preschoolers can get in on the fun.

While just a few lucky readers will walk away with the grand prizes, we believe everyone deserves a little something for their efforts. So at the end of the month, every participant who has read at least three books can choose a small prize from the assortment of goodies in our grab box. All the prizes are provided through the generosity of the Friends of the Moorestown Library.

Winter reading is going on right now and ends Feb. 29. Hurry into the Moorestown Library today to be a part of the reading fun!
