Moorestown senior wins Volunteer Center scholarship.

○      Whiz Kid: Brandon Pugh

○      Whiz Kid's School: Moorestown High School

○      Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Brandon, a senior at Moorestown High School, was awarded a $2,500 scholarship from the Volunteer Center of Burlington County. The scholarships are awarded to seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to community service, leadership and academic achievement.

○      Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: During his four-year high school career, Brandon has accumulated 5,499 hours of service. He has won the Presidential Volunteer Service Award and volunteers for the USO, American Legion Boys State, Moorestown Recreation Department, the Moorestown Police Department, the Moorestown First Aid and Emergency Squad, the Lenola Fire Department and the Humane Society. He is also a member of the MHS Student Government, Future Business Leaders of America, the Honor and Service Society and the Interact Club. He has won four Gold Presidential Service Awards, Varsity Letter for Community Service and the Prudential Spirit of Community Award. He was also honored as the Student Citizen of the Year by the Moorestown Rotary Club and received a BCT Teen Excellence Award.
