9-Year-Old Struck by Car: Police

The boy was taken to Cooper University Hospital following the accident.

A 9-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after he was struck by a vehicle on East Second Street Thursday.

Moorestown Police said the boy ran out in front of a car near the Baylor Arms Apartments behind the post office shortly after 4 p.m. The boy's injuries were not life-threatening, but he was taken to Cooper University Hospital for treatment.

The accident is still under investigation, though no summons were issued and it does not appear the driver was at fault, police said.
