A pair of handgun-toting men robbed a Sunoco gas station attendant Tuesday night, Maple Shade Police said.
According to police, two men of unknown race, dressed in all dark clothing, approached the convenience store of the Sunoco (3071 Route 73 South) around 10:30 p.m. When they found the doors locked, the suspects—both armed with handguns—went after the attendant working the pumps.
The attendant cooperated, and the suspects made off with $250, police said. They fled on foot heading west to Fifth Avenue, where they left in an older model light-colored sedan.
Police provided the above video, in which one of the suspects (upper right-hand corner) appears to walk with a distinguishing stride as he walks away from the front of the store.Anyone with information is urged to call Maple Shade Police at 856-234-8300 and reference case 14-0770.
There have been several robberies—or attempted robberies—at area gas stations recently. An attendant at the Citgo station on Route 38 in Moorestown was robbed at gunpoint last week, and Maple Shade Police just arrested three young men for robbing an attendant at the Shell station on Route 73.
