Armed Men Rob Sunoco Attendant at Gunpoint: Police

There have been several robberies at area gas stations recently, including one at the Maple Shade Sunoco Tuesday night.

A pair of handgun-toting men robbed a Sunoco gas station attendant Tuesday night, Maple Shade Police said.

According to police, two men of unknown race, dressed in all dark clothing, approached the convenience store of the Sunoco (3071 Route 73 South) around 10:30 p.m. When they found the doors locked, the suspects—both armed with handguns—went after the attendant working the pumps.

The attendant cooperated, and the suspects made off with $250, police said. They fled on foot heading west to Fifth Avenue, where they left in an older model light-colored sedan.
