Police Investigate Pair of Daytime Burglary Incidents

Moorestown Police say an attempted break-in Tuesday was quickly followed by a successful burglary nearby.

UPDATE: Roughly two hours after responding to an attempted break-in on Country Club Drive Tuesday afternoon, Moorestown Police responded to a burglary on the unit block of Bramley Road.

The burglary occurred sometime between 11 a.m. and 1:45 p.m., police said. The burglar forced his way in through a rear window and stole electronic gaming components, computers and jewelry.

It's unclear whether the incidents are related, but Lt. Lee Lieber said it's very possible the same person was involved in both. Bramley is located roughly a mile from Country Club Drive.

No description was provided for the suspect in the Bramley Road burglary.

A burglar tried to break into a Moorestown home in the middle of the day Tuesday, according to police.

Moorestown Police responded to the 200 block of Country Club Drive after a young adult called 911 at approximately 11:40 a.m. to report a man was attempting to force open a rear window.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, with black hair, wearing a white T-shirt and khaki pants. He left the area on foot before police arrived.

The would-be burglar did not gain access to the home, police said. It's unclear whether the suspect knew someone was inside the residence.

A burglar successfully broke into a home on the 100 block of Country Club Drive last month and ransacked the master bedroom, making off with jewelry. It does not appear the September burglary and Tuesday's attempted break-in are related, according to police.
