Centerton Road Closure Begins Next Month

County closing sections of Centerton Road for bridge repairs for two weeks.

The bridge over Parker's Creek, located on Centerton Road at the Moorestown-Mount Laurel line, will be closed on Monday, March 5, by the office of the county engineer for repairs, according to a release from . Centerton Road from Hartford Road to Country Club Drive, in Moorestown, will also be closed.

Work on the bridge will last from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The bridge will remain closed at all times during the construction. 

The bridge will reopen Friday, March 23, at 4:30 p.m.

The only vehicles allowed access to Centerton Road from Hartford Road will be those needing access to the businesses along Centerton Road, from Hartford Road to Country Club Drive, those needing access to the Laurel Creek housing development, and authorized emergency vehicles.

Drivers of unauthorized vehicles may be charged with “Operating a Vehicle on a Closed Roadway” and, upon conviction, may be fined up to $100. If convicted, two points will be assessed on the driver's record.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes of travel prior to the actual closing, and to follow posted detour routes.
