Drug, Gun Charges for Maple Shade Man: Police

Mount Laurel Police say the man had altered a pellet gun to look like a handgun.

Police arrested a Maple Shade man on drug and gun charges after he caused a disturbance at a hotel last week, according to a report.

Mount Laurel officers were called to a hotel on the 1000 block of Route 73 around 7:30 p.m. Dec. 22 for a customer dispute involving 29-year-old Adam M. Bush, of Maple Shade, police said. Bush was subsequently charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a hypodermic syringe.

Bush was additionally charged with unlawful possession of a handgun after officers discovered a pellet gun on him that had been altered to look like an actual firearm, police said.

He was released on a summons pending a court hearing.
