Drunk Man Mistakenly Tries to Kick in Wrong Door, Police Say

Also, Mount Laurel Police arrest a Riverton woman for resisting arrest and investigate multiple burglaries and thefts, including $4,000 stolen from a gym locker.

Feb. 15

Arrest (prescription fraud) — Police arrested Brian J. Diemunsch, 37, of the unit block of Rosetree Lane, West Deptford, after he tried to obtain a prescription drug by passing a fraudulent scrip on Dec. 12, 2012, according to a report. Diemunsch was charged with prescription fraud and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Theft, 1:15-1:45 p.m. — Someone stole a $300 cell phone after it was left on a counter at the Lukoil on Route 73, police said.

Arrest (resisting arrest) — Police arrested Shamika M. Hemingway, 26, of the 800 block of Cedar Road, Riverton, after she was stopped on Midlantic Drive for a motor vehicle violation, according to a report. While being taken into custody on an outstanding warrant, she resisted arrest. Hemingway was released pending a municipal court hearing.

Feb. 16

Arrest (criminal mischief) — Police arrested Ming F. Zheng, 34, of the 4700 block of Dunbarton Road, after he drunkenly tried to kick in the door of a residence he mistakenly thought was his own, according to a report. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Theft, 10:45-11:15 a.m. — Someone stole more than $4,000 worth of jewelry and cash after breaking into a locker at the YMCA on Centerton Road, according to police.

Burglary (Willowmere), 6:30-9:15 p.m. — Police said a burglar forced open the rear window of a residence on the unit block of Mallard Drive and stole approximately $1,250 worth of jewelry.

Arrest (DWI), 1:51 a.m. — Police arrested Sherrie Myrie, 50, of the 200 block of Howell Street, Trenton, after she was involved in a single vehicle accident on Centerton Road, according to a report. Myrie was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Theft, 2 p.m. — Someone stole a wallet and its contents, valued at approximately $150, after it was dropped in the Wawa parking lot on Church Road, police said.

Burglary, 6:20 p.m. — A burglar broke into Unique Nails and Toes on Church Road by smashing the glass in the front door and stole a cash register and its contents, valued at approximately $350, police said. Damage is estimated at approximately $520.

Feb. 18

Criminal mischief (Birchfield) — Someone threw a rock through a window at Haddon Stone on Birchfield Drive, causing an estimated $300 damage, police said. The incident occurred between 5 p.m. Feb. 15 and 9:29 a.m. Feb. 18. 

Fraud, 2 p.m. — Police said someone drove off from the Lukoil on Route 73 without paying for $25 worth of gas.

Theft, 4:25 p.m. — Someone stole a tablet computer, valued at $100, from an unattended bag in the computer area at the Mount Laurel Library, police said.

Burglary (Fox Run), 9:10 p.m. — A burglar stole an undetermined amount of jewelry from a residence on the unit block of Fox Run, police said. The suspect was seen leaving the residence just as the resident was returning home. 

Burglary, 4-9:30 p.m. — A burglar forced open the side window of a home on the 200 block of Elbo Lane and stole more than $500 in cash and property, police said.

Feb. 19

Arrest (possession of marijuana), 12:30 a.m. — Police arrested Ryan J. Burke, 21, and Sean M. Burke, 23, both of the 200 block of Wellington Drive, Marlton, for possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) after they were stopped on Springdale Road for a motor vehicle violation, according to a report. They were served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing. 

Fraud, 12:44 a.m. — Police said someone stole $57 worth of gas from the Lukoil on Route 73.

Arrest (shoplifting) — Police arrested Francis J. Moran, 51, of the unit block of Tara Drive, Browns Mills, for shoplifting merchandise of an undetermined value from Home Depot on Nixon Drive, according to a report. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Criminal mischief — A rock was thrown through the rear window of a residence on the 4100 block of Grenwich Lane, causing an estimated $200 damage, police said. The incident occurred between 6 a.m. Feb. 11 and 4:20 a.m. Feb. 19.

Criminal mischief, 7-10:30 p.m. — Someone damaged the quarter panel of a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Squirrel Tree Lane, causing an estimated $450 damage, police said.
