DWI Stop Leads to Weapons Arrest: Police

Mount Laurel Police say the handgun was stolen out of Philadelphia.

Mount Laurel Police said they discovered a stolen handgun while making a DWI stop last week.

Police stopped Cedric Price Jr., 31, of the 400 block of Davenport Avenue, Hainesport, on Masonville Road at 1:38 a.m. Friday, according to a report. He was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and, during a subsequent search, police said they discovered a .40-caliber handgun reported stolen out of Philadelphia, as well as hollow-point ammunition.

Price was charged with driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of hollow point ammunition, obstruction and receiving stolen property. He was lodged at Burlington County Jail in lieu of $80,000 bail.
