Facebook Tip Leads to Moorestown Teen's Knifepoint Robbery Arrest: Police

Mount Laurel Police say the teen robbed Subway at knifepoint earlier this month—for $100.

A Moorestown teen was arrested for robbing the Centerton Square Subway at knifepoint, according to police.

Mount Laurel Police took the 17-year-old Moorestown boy into custody on Friday after receiving a tip from a citizen who saw surveillance video of the robbery on the police department’s Facebook page. Police said the tip directly contributed to the teen’s arrest.

The accused entered the Subway around 7 p.m. Oct. 12, a ski mask covering his face, brandished a knife, and demanded cash from the clerk, police said. He made off with approximately $100.
