Man Charged With Heroin Possession After Allegedly Pulling Syringe on Security

The incident took place as security was attempting to prevent shoplifting at the Moorestown Mall on Wednesday.

A Browns Mills man was charged with possession of suspected heroin after pulling a syringe on security at Boscov’s in the Moorestown Mall, Moorestown Police said Friday morning.

Alfonso Thompson, 31, was charged with robbery, shoplifting, possession of heroin and possession of syringes during an attempted theft at Boscov’s on Wednesday.

Thompson allegedly stole clothing totaling $267.95. When security attempted to stop him, he allegedly pulled a syringe on them.

He was committed to Burlington County Jail on $25,000 bail, full cash or bond.
