Maple Shade Man Arrested for Main St. Burglaries: Police

Moorestown Police also arrested two men for a pair of recent residential burglaries.

A Maple Shade man was arrested in connection with a pair of burglaries/thefts to two Main Street businesses, Moorestown Police reported.

According to police, Steven D. Small, 25, of the unit block of Kathleen Court, burglarized Yogomix and Idea Lab Marketing on June 28 and Sept. 12, respectively. He was charged with burglary and theft for both incidents.

Meanwhile, police said Small also kept himself busy burglarizing—along with a pair of accomplices—a storage building occupied by Maple Landscaping on the 900 block of Westfield Road. According to police, Small broke into the building twice—first on June 23, and again on Sept. 23—and stole more than more than $8,000 worth of landscaping equipment. As a result, he was charged with two counts of burglary and theft.

Amanda Marie Anderson, 20, of the 500 block of Leconey Avenue, Palmyra, was arrested and charged with burglary and theft for her participation in the June 23 incident, and Laurel L. Veronica, 23, of the 100 block of Juniper Street, Burlington City, was arrested and charged with the same for her participation in the Sept. 23 burglary, according to police.

Police arrested Herbert Thornton, 54, of the unit block of Mantua Road, Mount Royal, for the burglary of a South Church Street home, according to a report.

Moorestown Police said Thornton broke into the home on the 300 block of South Church on Sept. 24 and stole various items, including jewelry and electronics. He was charged with burglary and theft and lodged in Burlington County Jail on $25,000 bail.

Police arrested Rahmel Brooks, 23, of the 200 block of West Main Street, for the theft of jewelry from a home on the 700 block of North Church Street on or about Oct. 8, according to a report.

Brooks was lodged in Burlington County Jail on $20,000 bail.
