Maple Shade Police Blotter

Police investigate a rash of vehicle vandalism and two burglaries.

Jan. 4

Burglary, 1:18 p.m. — Police said approximately $160 was stolen from a wallet in an apartment at the Maple Shade Arms on East Main Street.

Criminal mischief, 9:52 p.m. — Someone scratched the hood and passenger side door of a car on Laurel Drive, causing an estimated $750 damage, police said.

Criminal mischief, 10:23 p.m. — Seven additional vehicles were found on Laurel Drive with similar damage—scratched hoods/passenger side doors—according to police.

Jan. 7

Burglary, 9:51 a.m. — Police said various items were stolen and copper pipes cut and removed from the basement of a residence on the unit block of South Coles Avenue. The burglary occurred between Jan. 2 and 7, while the homeowner was away, police said.
