Police investigate a burglary on High Street and discover a bullet hole in the hood of a woman's car.

Oct. 17Shoplifting, 3:42 p.m. — Two women stole $2,000 worth of clothes from the Men’s Warehouse on Lenola Road, police said. One woman is described as black, heavyset, between 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches, with short braided hair, wearing a zebra pattern coat. The second woman was also described as black, wearing a trench coat, with longer hair than the first woman, yet still short, police said. Store employees realized too late that the suspects were the same as those they’d read about in a flier they had received. Oct. 18Burglary, 12:58 p.m. — Police said the lock was cut off a storage unit at Public Storage on West Rudderow Avenue. Two JBL JRX speakers, a large drill press, and a large tile cutter with water pump and blades were stolen.Burglary, 10:22 p.m. — Numerous items, including a TV, laptop computers and jewelry, were stolen from a home on High Street, according to police. Witnesses reported seeing two men loading the TV into a two-door black vehicle, which left east on High Street toward Route 73. The rear door to the home had been broken to gain entry, police said. A desktop computer and video game systems were also stolen. Police said the suspects are described as two black men, one wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt and jeans. Their car is described as a black two-door, possibly a Ford or Mercury, with dull-painted doors and a metallic silver front tag with a vertical red stripe in the center.Oct. 20Criminal mischief, 9:32 a.m. — Police discovered a bullet hole in the hood of a woman’s car on Hamilton Road in Fox Meadow. Police were able to recover fragments of the bullet. A neighbor told police he had heard what he thought was a firecracker in the area. Burglary, 9:40 a.m. — A locked door to a laundry room on Jackson Drive in Fox Meadow was kicked in, three windows shattered and holes kicked in the drywall, causing more than $2,000 damage, police said.
