Maple Shade Police Investigating 2nd Stickup

Police believe the same suspect from the Country Farms convenience store robbery also robbed a BP gas station early Monday.

Maple Shade Police say a man robbed the BP gas station on Route 73 South after displaying a handgun early Monday.

According to police, the robber—described as a black man, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a black baseball cap, white shirt and black pants—walked into the station around 12:41 a.m., displayed a black pistol and stole $500 cash.

No one was injured.

The suspect fled on foot on Route 73 South toward Orchard Avenue. A K-9 unit from the Evesham Police Department responded to help track the suspect.

There is no video system at the gas station or in the immediate area.

There were no arrests and police have no suspect(s) identified at this time. Police said it appears that the BP robber is the same suspect that committed the Country Farms robbery on the 13th.
