Smashed pumpkins, a prowler and several residential and commercial burglaries.

Oct. 14

Attempted burglary, 11:35 a.m. — A resident on the first block of Oriole Way reported someone tried to break into their home after finding pry marks on a window and a door, police said. No entry was gained into the house.

Oct. 16

Criminal mischief, 8:02 a.m. — A resident from the 100 block of Fellswood Drive told police sometime overnight on Oct. 15 several pumpkins were smashed in the street.

Oct. 17

Prowler, 1:29 a.m. — A black man wearing shorts was seen looking in the windows of apartments near the 100 block of East Second Street, police said. Patrols checked the area but were unable to find the suspect.

Oct. 18

Criminal mischief, 12:59 p.m. — Rocks were thrown at three vehicles along the 100 block of East Third Street, police said, damaging windshields and doors.

Burglary, 1:01 p.m. — A resident from the 300 block of North Washington Avenue told police their residence was broken into sometime during the morning of Oct. 18. The suspect got in by forcing open a side door, police said. Numerous items were stolen.

Oct. 19

Burglary, 9:20 a.m. — Checks were stolen from a commercial building on the 500 block of South Lenola Road sometime overnight on Oct. 14.

Burglary, 10:40 a.m. — Cash was stolen from a commercial building, also on the 500 block of South Lenola Road, sometime overnight Oct. 14, police said.

Burglary, 2:33 p.m. — Someone broke into a home on the 700 block of Golfview Road by forcing open a basement window and stole several pieces of jewelry, police said.
