Thousands of dollars in jewelry stolen from Main Street home, plus reports of suspicious people and vehicles.

Sept. 10

Suspicious vehicle, 8:21 p.m. — A resident on the 600 block of Chester Avenue reported a suspicious black sport-utility vehicle parked in the driveway of a vacant house, police said. The caller told police a white male got out of the SUV, checked the mailbox of the vacant house and left. Patrols checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Suspicious vehicle, 11:59 p.m. — A resident reported a dark blue extended van filled with passengers was parked in the middle of Bridgeboro Road, police said. When police arrived on the scene, the van was no longer there and patrols were unable to locate it.

Sept. 14

Bicycle theft, 1:56 p.m. — Sometime between Sept. 1 and 14 someone entered an unlocked garage on Villa Avenue and stole a red, silver and black mountain bike, police said.

Sept. 15

Suspicious person, 1:10 a.m. — A caller reported seeing a shirtless man looking into parked vehicles on Main Street near Mount Laurel Road, police said. The man was last seen walking on Mount Laurel Road, but when patrols arrived to check the area they were unable to locate the man.

Theft, 10:32 a.m. — Someone stole $15,000-25,000 worth of jewelry from the master bedroom of a home on the 600 block of East Main Street, police said. The theft occurred sometime between Dec. 30, 2010, and Sept. 15, 2011.

Residents are urged to contact the  immediately at 856-235-0130 if they notice any suspicious activity in their neighborhood.
