An unidentified man stuck a gun in a gas attendant’s back and robbed him Wednesday night on Route 38, Moorestown Police said.

According to police, the robbery occurred at the Citgo station at Route 38 and Church Street around 8:45 p.m. The suspect walked up behind the attendant, put a handgun in his back and demanded money. The perpetrator then reached into the attendant’s pocket and took between $600 to $700 cash, before fleeing on foot up Church Street toward Main Street.

The attendant told police the suspect was between 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches, and was wearing dark clothing and a black balaclava—a ski mask—which covered his face. The attendant was not injured, police said.
