Motorcyclist Airlifted After Crash on 295

Both lanes of 295 were temporarily shut down following a serious accident Friday morning.

A medical helicopter had to land on the northbound lane of Interstate 295 to transport a seriously injured motorcyclist following an accident late Friday morning. 

New Jersey State Police said the accident occurred just before 11 a.m. at mile post 36.6 in the southbound lane of 295 in Mount Laurel, involving a Harley-Davidson and at least three other vehicles. 

The rider of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was transported to Cooper University Hospital. His name and condition were not immediately available Friday.

State police in Bordentown said as of 1 p.m. the northbound lanes on 295 had been reopened, as well as two of the southbound lanes. There was still cleanup occurring at the scene, so there were still some delays on 295 South, state police said.
