Police arrest a Moorestown man in a road rage incident and investigate several cases of theft and burglary.

Nov. 19-20

Criminal mischief — An employee of Prospectors on Route 38 reported to police sometime between Nov. 19 and 20 unknown persons permanently damaged a large area of the parking lot by purposely spinning their tires. Damage is estimated at $500, according to police.

Nov. 24-25

Theft from vehicle — A resident of the first block of Horseshoe Drive reported to police their laptop computer, valued at around $3,000, was stolen from an unlocked vehicle sometime between 7 p.m. Nov. 24 and 7 a.m. Nov. 25.

Nov. 30

Theft, 4:30-5 p.m. — A patron of LA Fitness, on Dearborn Circle, had her purse and its contents, valued at $530, stolen from the locker room, police said. The purse was taken from a bench when it was momentarily left unattended.

Dec. 2

Theft, 2:40 p.m. — Someone stole $59.05 worth of gasoline from the On the Go station on Centerton Road, police said.

Arrest (criminal mischief) — Police arrested Augustine Wilmer, 25, of the 200 block of New Albany Road, Moorestown, after he purposely struck another vehicle with his vehicle during a road rage altercation in the parking lot of 12000 Horizon Way, according to a report. He was released pending a court hearing.  

Theft — A Best Buy employee had their North Face jacket, valued at $165, stolen from an office inside the store on Nixon Drive, police said. The theft occurred sometime between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. Nov. 25.

Burglary — Approximately $4,000 worth of cash and jewelry was stolen from a residence on the 600 block of Mount Laurel Road, according to police. The burglar got int through an unlocked window. The incident occurred between 6 p.m. Nov. 25 and 6 p.m. Dec. 2.

Dec. 3

Credit card fraud, 10 p.m. — An Eastampton resident told police while he was at Prospectors, 3050 Route 38, his credit card was stolen. The card was then fraudulently used to withdraw cash and make purchases totaling $611, police said.

Dec. 4

Arrest (DWI), 2:46 a.m. — Police arrested Andrea Tessler, 42, of the 300 block of Manton Street, Philadelphia, for driving while intoxicated after she was stopped on Route 38 for a motor vehicle violation, according to a report. She was released pending a court hearing.  

Criminal mischief (Laurel Creek) — A resident of the 800 block of Trescott Place reported her vehicle was purposely dented and the paint scratched, causing approximately $500 in damage, police said. The incident occurred between 8:30 p.m. Dec. 3 and 7 a.m. Dec. 4.

Dec. 5

Arrest (drug possession), 12:42 p.m. — Police arrested Ali M. Cooper, 32, of the 4700 block of Greene Avenue, Pennsauken, after he was stopped on Nixon Drive for a motor vehicle violation. Cooper was charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. He was released pending a municipal court hearing.

Dec. 6

Criminal mischief/theft, 8:32 a.m. —  A customer of KinderCare, at 641 South Church St., told police someone smashed the window of their vehicle and stole a purse and its contents, valued at $300. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $250, police said. A witness described the vehicle used by the suspect as a black Jeep Grand Cherokee bearing a light blue out-of-state license plate.

Arrest (drug possession), 6 p.m. — Police arrested Benjamin L. Beahm III, 24, of the 500 block of Dubois Avenue, Barrington, and Jesse K. Long, 23, of the 500 block of 3rd Avenue, Haddon Heights, for possession of marijuana subsequent to a suspicious vehicle complaint at the Wawa, 720 South Church St., police said. They were released pending a municipal court hearing.

Dec. 7

Theft, 9:50-11 p.m. — Someone stole a jacket, valued at $80, from the coat rack inside the locker room at the LA Fitness on Dearborn Circle, police said.
