Police make nearly a dozen arrests for prostitution, resisting arrest, DWI and other crimes.

Dec. 9

Theft (Tara Estates), 3 p.m. — Police said a woman stole packages that had been delivered and left on the front porch of a home on the first block of Tara Drive. A witness saw a white woman, about 5 feet 4 inches, with short brown hair and a heavy build, take the packages. The woman was driving a small dark blue sport-utility vehicle, police said. The value of the stolen packages is unknown.

Dec. 10

Arrest (underage intoxication), 2:26 a.m. — Police arrested Paul C. Rochford, 19, of the 300 block of Kings Croft, Cherry Hill, subsequent to a suspicious person investigation in the area of the 1700 block of Wharton Road. He was charged with underage intoxication and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Arrest (DWI), 5:38 a.m. — Police arrested Chelsi L. Godshall, 22, of the 400 block of Buttonwood Street, Mount Holly, for driving while intoxicated after she struck a pole on Route 38, according to a report. She was issued a summons and released pending a court hearing.

Theft from vehicle (Canterbury) — A resident of the 100 block of Westminster Drive reported approximately $15 in change was stolen from their unlocked vehicle between 5 p.m. Dec. 9 and 7:30 a.m. Dec. 10.

Burglary — Police said cash and jewelry, valued at $200, were stolen from Flowers by Elizabeth, on the 100 block of Ark Road, after a burglar forced open a door. The theft occurred sometime between 6 p.m. Dec. 9 and 9 a.m. Dec. 10.

Arrest (prostitution) — Police arrested Natashia Hollinger, 20, of the 300 block of North Shamokin Street, Shamokin, PA, for prostitution at the Super 8 Motel on Fellowship Road subsequent to a police investigation, according to a report. She was released pending a court hearing.

Dec. 11

Arrest (DWI), 2:53 a.m. — Police arrested Axel E. Corado, 20, of the 200 block of Butler Street, Trenton, for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped on Route 38 for a motor vehicle violation. He was issued a summons and released pending a court hearing.

Arrest (resisting arrest), 9:29 a.m. — Police arrested Sean Strong, 23, of 1200 block of Kenwood Avenue, Camden, after he provided officers with a false identity during an investigation at a residence on the 3000 block of Marne Highway, according to a report. Police discovered he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of the Burlington County Sheriff’s Office. While taking Strong into custody, he resisted arrest, police said. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Arrest (drug possession), 4:07 p.m. — Police arrested Alexi R. Johnston, 28, of the first block of Babbitt Lane, Willingboro, on Hartford Road during an investigation of a suspicious vehicle. Johnston was charged with possession of marijuana, police said, and released pending a court hearing.  

Dec. 12

Arrest (shoplifting) — Police arrested Tatianna M. Edwards, 22, of the 100 block of Belmont Lane, Burlington City, for shoplifting $5.28 in merchandise from the ShopRite on Nixon Drive. She was released pending a municipal court hearing.

Dec. 13

Arrest (check fraud) — Police arrested Jonathan H. Banks, 42, of the 400 block of Gibbsboro Road, Lindenwold, and his son, Rashad K. Banks, 19, of the 200 block of Cherry Street, Wilmington, DE, for attempting to pass a fraudulent check. During an investigation at Grainger Industrial Supply on East Gate Drive, police discovered they had a stolen U-Haul in their possession, according to a report. Jonathan Banks was charged with receiving stolen property, bad checks, forgery, and theft by deception. His bail was set at $10,000, police said. Rashad Banks was charged with bad checks, forgery and theft by deception. His bail was set at $3,500. They were both committed to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of bail.

Identity theft (Laurel Creek) — A fraudulent PayPal account was opened in September using the name of a resident of the first block of Sandhurst Drive, police said. $1,900 in charges were accrued on the account.

Theft, 10:30-10:45 a.m. — An iPod Nano, valued at approximately $120, was stolen from a member of Planet Fitness on Route 38 after it was left unattended inside the gym, police said.
 
Arrest (theft) — Police arrested Hector O. Mercado, 53, of the 900 block of State Street, Camden, for stealing $60 in cash from a fellow employee at the Cracker Barrel on Route 73, according to a report. He was released pending a court hearing.

Arrest (DWI), 11:14 p.m. — Police arrested Ryan A. Trifiletti, 29, of the 700 block of Decatur Drive, for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped on Decatur Drive for a motor vehicle violation. He was released pending a municipal court hearing.

Dec. 14

Theft (Ramblewood) — An employee of Cream-O-Land of Philadelphia reported the theft of six cases of beverages, valued at $80. They were taken from the rear of the Parkway School on Ramblewood Parkway after being dropped off for delivery sometime between 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 13 and 2:19 a.m. Dec. 14, police said.
