Mount Laurel Police Blotter

Police make several arrests for drunk driving and other offenses.

Nov. 2

Burglary — Someone broke into a residence on the 3200 block of Marne Highway by forcing open a door and stole copper piping, valued at approximately $2,000, police said. The incident occurred sometime between 10 a.m. Oct. 31 and 8:50 a.m. Nov. 2. Damage is estimated at around $300.

Arrest (hindering), 12:10 p.m. — Police arrested Olamae M. Humerick, 34, of the first block of Edgewater Avenue, Gloucester, for providing false information to officers investigating a disturbance on the 3000 block of Marne Highway. She was turned over to Camden City Police for outstanding warrants, police said.

Nov. 3

Arrest (DWI), 2:16 a.m. — Police arrested Ryan E. Corrigan, 31, of the 200 block of Evans Court, after he was stopped on Route 73 for a motor vehicle violation. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a hearing.

Nov. 4

Arrest (shoplifting), 5:10 p.m. — Police arrested Kenneth J. Washington, 24, of the first block of Terrace Court, Willingboro, for shoplifting. Police said he shoplifted $79.93 worth of clothing from TJ Maxx, 68 Centerton Road. He was turned over to Burlington City Police for an outstanding arrest warrant.

Arrest (DWI), 10 p.m. — Police arrested Steven G. Hughes, 40, of the 400 block of Melvin Avenue, Glendora, for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation, police said. He was released pending a court hearing.  

Nov. 5

Criminal mischief (Essex Place) — A resident of the 5900 building of Coventry Way told police someone scratched her vehicle, causing approximately $1,000 in damage. The incident took place between 6 p.m. Nov. 4 and 1:30 p.m. Nov. 5.

Nov. 6

Arrrest (DWI), 2:28 a.m. — Police arrested Jamill M. Jackson, 29, of the first block of Tarpon Court, Willingboro, after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Hainesport-Mount Laurel Road. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing, police said.

Arrest (DWI), 3:28 a.m. — Police arrested Tang Chen, 21, of the first block of Manhattan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Saw Mill Drive. He was released pending a court hearing.

Arrest (shoplifting, resisting arrest), 1:26 p.m. — Police arrested Vincent S. Canizzaro, 49, of the 2000 block of 4th Street, Philadelphia for shoplifting $2,587 worth of merchandise from Wegman’s, 4 Centerton Road. Canizzaro also resisted arrest and provided a false identity to the arresting officer, police said. He received additional charges for these offenses. Bail was set at $10,000 and he was committed to Burlington County Jail.

Nov. 7

Arrest (drug possession/underage drinking), 12:04 a.m. — Police responded to a narcotics complaint at the Rodeway Inn, 1132 Route 73. As a result of their investigation, police arrested Dillon Rizzo, 20, of the first block of Lantern Lane, Cherry Hill, for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to reports. He was released pending a court hearing. Ashley Collins, 20, of the 4000 block of Lexington Avenue, Pennsauken, and James Barber, 18, of the first block of Ivy Lane, Cherry Hill, were both served a summons for underage consumption of alcohol and released pending a court hearing, police said.

Theft — Several guests of the Doubletree Hotel, 515 Fellowship Road, had the tires and rims stolen off their vehicles overnight between Nov. 6 and 7, police said.

Nov. 8

Arrest (DWI), 12:10 a.m. — Police arrested Ronald B. Tipton, 39, of the 2000 block of Ralston Drive, Mount Laurel, for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Larchmont Boulevard. He was released on a summons pending a court hearing.  

Arrest (DWI), 1:12 a.m. — Police arrested Daniel J. Stio, 23, of the 1400 block of Saxony Drive, Mount Laurel, for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Saxony Drive. He was released on a summons pending a court hearing.  

Nov. 9

Arrest (possession of hypodermic syringe), 10:30 a.m. — Police arrested Justin M. Headley, 20, of the 100 block of Beechwood Drive, Mount Laurel. Police said they stopped Headley on Route 73 and discovered he had warrants out for his arrest and he also had a hypodermic syringe in his possession. He was charged with the illegal possession of the syringe and committed to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail.

Arrest (drug possession), 9:12 p.m. — Police arrested a 17-year-old male from Marlton for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after he was arrested following an investigation into a suspicious vehicle complaint in the parking lot of Wawa, 200 Larchmont Boulevard. The juvenile was charged with the offenses and released to his parents pending a court hearing.
