Police make numerous arrests for everything from prostitution to DWI to drug and weapon possession.

Feb. 3

Robbery (Willow Turn), 2:45 p.m. — A 26-year-old woman was walking in the area of the 200 block of Willow Turn when she was thrown to the ground by an unknown man, police said. She said the assailant took medication, cigarettes, and $200 from her purse and fled the area. The assailant was described as a black male, with dreadlocks, 6 feet tall, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans, according to police. The victim was not injured.

Attempted Burglary (Holiday Village), 7:15 p.m. — Police said someone tried to break into a home on the unit block of Ewing Court through a window and activated the burglar alarm. Nothing was reported stolen. Damage is estimated at $50.

Feb. 4

Arrest (DWI), 1:26 a.m. — Police arrested Walvin E. Williams, 51, of the 1800 block of Denham Court, after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Forest Lake Drive. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.  

Arrest (drug possession), 3:21 a.m. — Police arrested Jessica N. Navarro, 20, of the unit block of Kendalo Boulevard, Oaklyn, for possession of marijuana under 50 grams after she was stopped on Ark Road for a motor vehicle violation, according to a report. She was released pending a municipal court hearing.  

Arrest (drug possession), 5:30 a.m. — Police arrested Glenn A. Naugle, 23, of the unit block of Lancelot Lane, for possession of marijuana under 50 grams after he was stopped on Glenbrook Drive for a motor vehicle violation. He was released pending a municipal court hearing.

Arrest (drug possession), 12:57 p.m. — Police arrested Ashley N. Broecker, 26, of the unit block of Oak Avenue, Blackwood, and Lauren L. MacFerren, 27, of the 300 block of West Evesham Road, Runnemede, for possession of heroin, according to a report. They were arrested at a hotel in the 500 block of Deimer Drive during an investigation. They were each served with criminal complaints pending a municipal court hearing.

Feb. 5

Arrest (DWI), 2:35 a.m. — Police arrested Angela M. Force, 28, of the 100 block of Medford Street, Browns Mills, after stopping her for a motor vehicle violation on Route 38. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana under 50 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said, and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Burglary (Laurel Place) — A resident of the 2500 block of Heatherstone Court reported their home was burglarized between midnight Feb. 4 and 9 a.m. Feb. 5. Police said the burglar forced open a door and removed electronic equipment and cash, valued at $1,800, from the residence.

Arrest (DWI), 12:05 p.m. — Police arrested Diego Hernandez, 33, of the 700 block of North 28th Street, Camden, after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Route 73. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.  

Arrest (DWI), 11:18 p.m. — Police arrested Amanda Warthen, 30, of the unit block of Arcadia Court, Eastampton, after stopping her for a motor vehicle violation on Route 38. Warthen was released pending a municipal court hearing.

Feb. 6

Arrest (receiving stolen property), 2:01 a.m. — Police arrested Joan M. Schugardt, 26, of the 100 block of South Whitehorse Pike, Somerdale, and Vincent C. Moore, 34, of the 200 block of Delsea Drive, Sewell, after they were stopped on Route 73 and found in possession of a stolen motor vehicle, according to a report. Police said both Schugardt and Moore lied about their identities. They were each charged with receiving stolen property and hindering. They were each sent to Burlington County Jail on $25,000 bail.

Feb. 7
 
Arrest (drug/weapon possession), 10:17 a.m. — Police arrested Daniel P. Anuszkiewicz, 33, of the 400 block of Country Court, for possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a weapon, according to a report. He was arrested after being stopped on Country Court for a motor vehicle violation. Anuszkiewicz was lodged in the Burlington County Jail on $22,500 bail.

Theft (Holiday Village East) — Police said someone stole $4,650 worth of silverware and jewelry from a residence on the unit block of North Peppergrass Drive. The items were noticed missing on February 1. No force was used to gain access to the residence, police said.

Arrest (shoplifting), 2:23 p.m. — Police arrested Karin T. Jackson, 21, of the 200 block of North Pond Drive, for shoplifting approximately $209 in merchandise from Home Depot on Nixon Drive. She was released pending a municipal court hearing.

Arrest (hindering), 7:12 p.m. — Police arrested Steven M. Johnson, 45, and Desiree Wiltsey, 42, both of the unit block of Jackson Road, Berlin, for providing false information in an attempt to avoid Johnson’s arrest on an outstanding warrant during a motor vehicle stop on Route 38, according to a report. Johnson was committed to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail and Wiltsey was committed to Burlington County Jail on $1,000 bail.

Feb. 8

Arrest (prostitution), 1:30 p.m. — Police arrested Lauren B. Ugwunze, 20, of the unit block of Wells Avenue, Dorchester, MA, for prostitution, possession of marijuana (under 50 grams), and resisting arrest. She was arrested subsequent to an investigation at a hotel on the 3000 block of Crawford Place. Police said while being taken into custody, Ugwunze attempted to flee on foot, but was quickly apprehended. She was committed to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $8,500 bail.

Feb. 9

Arrest (DWI), 2:13 a.m. — Police arrested Douglas R. Edlin Jr., 30, of the unit block of Princess Avenue, Marlton, after stopping him for a motor vehicle violation on Route 73. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, according to a report, and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Arrest (theft), 10:30 a.m. — Police arrested Daniel A. Stemmer, 20, of the unit block of South Locust Avenue, Marlton, following an investigation into the theft of cash and jewelry from a Michaelson Drive residence reported on February 7. He was released pending a municipal court hearing.
