A Pennsylvania woman is caught embezzling $71,000 from her employer and police make arrests for drunk driving and drug possession.

Oct. 7

Criminal mischief — A resident of the first block of Kenton Place told police their window screen was cut and removed sometime between 9 a.m. Oct. 3 and 12:40 p.m. Oct. 7. Damage is estimated at $50.

Arrest (forgery) — Police arrested Kathryn M. McKinley, 47, of the 800 block of Mount Taylor Drive, Folcroft, PA, for stealing $71,137.00 from her employer. She fraudulently issued checks to herself, police said. She was released pending a municipal court hearing.  

Arrest (DWI), 11:40 p.m. — Police arrested David M. Duffy, 44, of the 500 block of Willow Turn, for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped on Route 38. He was charged with DWI and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Oct. 8

Credit card fraud — A resident of the 1100 block of Long Pond Road, Rochester, NJ, reported a fraudulent purchase was made using their credit card at the Best Buy on Nixon Drive sometime during the day.

Oct. 9

Criminal mischief, 12-9 a.m. — A resident of the 100 block of Squirrel Tree Lane reported to police their vehicle was dented and scratched. Damage is estimated at $1,000.

Criminal mischief, 12-7 a.m. — Police said a mailbox was also damaged on the 100 block of Squirrel Tree Lane. The damage is estimated at $100.

Theft, 12:30-1:30 p.m. — An iPhone, valued at $300, was stolen from a Burlington Township resident’s unzipped purse while she was shopping at Centerton Square on Centerton Road, police said.

Oct. 10

Theft — Police said someone stole a Caterpillar Bobcat, worth $20,000, from a lot on the 900 block of Route 73, where it was parked. The theft occurred sometime between 7 p.m. Oct. 9 and 4:09 p.m. Oct. 10.

Arrest (drug possession), 8:44 p.m. — Police arrested Steven W. Colangelo, 22, of the first block of Lancelot Lane, when he was stopped on East Daisy Lane after police received a suspicious vehicle complaint in that area. Colangelo was charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams). He was released pending a municipal court hearing.

Theft — A guest at the Hyatt on Crawford Place told police $1,500 in cash was taken from their hotel room. The incident occurred sometime between Sept. 30 and Oct. 10. There was no sign of forced entry to the room, police said.

Oct. 11

Criminal mischief — A resident of the 1400 block of Stokes Road reported their vehicle was scratched sometime between 3:30 p.m. Oct. 10 and 11:30 a.m. Oct. 11. Damage is estimated at $200.
