A bank customer is held up at gunpoint at an ATM and police arrest three in a stolen vehicle case.

Nov. 18

Arrest (receiving stolen property), 2:58 a.m. — Police stopped a stolen vehicle on Elbo Lane and arrested Janine L. Martino, 20, of the first block of Longbow Drive, Washington Township, and Michael D. Young, 20, of the 100 block of East Forest Grove Road, Vineland, for receiving stolen property. Both were released pending a court hearing. A third subject, Gregory J. Thompson, 31, of the 500 block of Sunnyhill Avenue, Franklinville, fled on foot from the vehicle after it was stopped, police said. He was apprehended a short time later and charged with receiving stolen property and obstruction. He was committed to Burlington County Jail on $20,000 bail.

Theft, 5:30-6:15 p.m. — A customer of Panera Bread, on Centerton Road, reported her wallet was stolen from her purse while she was eating at the restaurant, police said. The wallet and its contents are valued at approximately $500. A short time later, one of the victim’s credit cards was fraudulently used to make a $1,400 purchase at the Home Depot on Nixon Drive, police said.  

Nov. 19

Arrest (drug possession), 4:07 a.m. — Police arrested Joseph B. Prizant, 55, of the first block of East Berwin Way, Mount Laurel, for possession of marijuana, according to reports, after he was stopped on Elbo Lane for a motor vehicle violation. Prizant was charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a municipal court hearing.

Burglary/theft — Someone robbed the Exxon station on Route 73 sometime between 10 p.m. Nov. 18 and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 19, police said. There was no sign of forced entry. An undetermined amount of cash and a safe were taken.

Nov. 20

Armed robbery, 6:50 a.m. — Police said a Bank of America customer was held up by a masked man as they were using the ATM machine. The suspect approached the victim, displayed a handgun and demanded cash and valuables, according to police. The suspect took the victim’s cash and jewelry.

Burglary/theft — Jewelry, clothing and cooking items, valued at $443, were taken from an unoccupied residence on the 600 block of South Church Street, police said. The incident occurred sometime between Oct. 28 and Nov. 20. There was no sign of forced entry.

Criminal mischief — Two residents of the 100 block of Union Mill Road told police their Comcast junction boxes were damaged. The incidents occurred between 8 p.m. Nov. 19 and 7 a.m. Nov. 20. Damage is estimated at $150, police said.


Nov. 21

Arrest (hindering) — Police arrested Winifred Mothersil, 50, and Adam S. Mothersil, 18, both of the 500 block of East Camden Avenue, Moorestown, for providing false information to an officer who was investigating a motor vehicle accident at the ShopRite on Nixon Drive, according to reports. They were both released pending a municipal court hearing.
