Mount Laurel Police Make Drug, DWI Arrests
Also, police investigate an attempted burglary and the theft of a laptop from a restaurant parking lot.
Sept. 21
Theft — Someone stole $500 worth of aluminum railing and mounting hardware from the bridge on South Church Street near Laurel Acres Park, sometime before Sept. 21, police said.
Arrest (DWI/drug possession), 12:02 p.m. — Police arrested Kevin J. Hess, 32, of the 100 block of Vista Drive, Marlton, after he was stopped on Marne Highway subsequent to a suspicious person complaint on Bradley Court, according to a report. Hess was charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of crack cocaine and released pending a municipal court hearing.
Arrest (obstruction), 2:20 p.m. — Police arrested Gary R. Stevenson, 43, of the 1200 block of Deacon Road, Hainesport, during a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 after he failed to comply with an officer’s instructions after being told there was a warrant for his arrest, according to a report. Stevenson posted bail for his warrant, was charged with obstructing the administration of law, and released pending a court hearing.
Arrest (DWI), 2:48 p.m. — Police arrested David G. Boustead, 55, of the 200 block of Charing Way, during a suspicious vehicle investigation on Charing Way. Boustead was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing, police said.
Sept. 22
Arrest (DWI), 3:04 a.m. — Police arrested Rachel L. Dash, 19, of the 2300 block of Denham Court, after she was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Marne Highway, according to a report. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.
Theft/criminal mischief, 11-11:54 a.m. — A thief smashed the window of a vehicle parked at the Cracker Barrel on Route 73 and stole a laptop and purse, valued at a combined $1,500, according to police.
Sept. 23
Attempted burglary (Larchmont) — A would-be burglar damaged the garage door of a residence on the 100 block of Banwell Lane in an attempt to enter the home, police said, causing an estimated $250 damage. The incident occurred between 9:30 p.m. Sept. 22 and 12:21 p.m. Sept. 23.
Arrest (drug possession), 12:58 p.m. — Police arrested Justice L. McCay, 22, of the unit block of Regency Drive, Mount Holly, after he was stopped on Route 73 for a motor vehicle violation, according to a report. McCay was charged with possession of heroin and released pending a municipal court hearing.
