Police Arrest A String of Shoplifters
The Moorestown Mall was the site of many thefts this week.
April 3
Xiomara Gotay, 21, of Stockton Avenue, Pennsauken was arrested for shoplifting clothing valued at $48 from Boscov’s in the Moorestown Mall. She was charged with shoplifting and released on a summons.

April 6
Nelson Rodriguez, 58, of North 5th Street, Philadelphia, and Maria Velaquez, 55, of North 8th Street, Philadelphia, were arrested for shoplifting merchandise totaling $313.99 from Sears in the Moorestown Mall. Both were charged with shoplifting and released on summonses.

April 7
Ashley Rosario, 23, of 49th Street, Pennsauken was arrested for shoplifting merchandise valued at $159 from Sears in the Moorestown Mall. She was charged with shoplifting, and also charged with possession of marijuana. She was released on a special complaint.
April 11
Jerome Alson, 24, of Egypt Road, Audubon, PA was arrested for shoplifting sunglasses and a shirt valued at $179.50 from Lord and Taylor in the Moorestown Mall. He was charged with shoplifting and released on a summons.
Sandra Faras, 26, of Clairborne Way, Sewell, Donna Beatty, 50, of Lafayette Road, Audubon, and Christina Peralta, 27, of East Camden Avenue, Moorestown were arrested at Boscov’s in the Moorestown Mall for shoplifting clothing valued at $295.89, returning the items for gift cards, and then exchanging the gift cards at E-B Coins & Stamps, Main Street, Moorestown for $150 in cash. Faras was charged with theft by deception, hindering and possession of a needle. Beatty was charged with shoplifting and possession of a needle. And Peralta was charged with theft by deception. Suspects were committed to the Burlington County jail in default of $1,500.
April 12
Chinnamma Varghese, 73, of Foxcroft Street, Mount Laurel was arrested for shoplifting perfume valued at $83 from Sears in the Moorestown Mall. She was charged with shoplifting and released on a summons.
