Police Arrest Two for Prostitution at Hotel

Also, a man steals $55 of gas and drives off—with the pump still connected to his car.

April 20

Burglary (Amberfield), 12:10-2:40 p.m. — Police said someone stole $150 worth of jewelry, change and other items from a residence on the 300 block of Keatley Drive, though force was not used to gain entry to the home.

April 21

Arrest (DWI/drug possession), 2:51 a.m. — Police arrested Germaine D. Craig, 30, of the 300 block of East Eleanor Street, Philadelphia, after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Route 73. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, and also found to be in possession of cocaine and marijuana, police. Craig was released pending a municipal court hearing.

Theft, 10:10-11 a.m. — A customer of the Cracker Barrel on Route 73 had their wallet and its contents, valued at about $50, stolen from the restaurant, police said. Shortly after the theft, someone attempted to use a credit card that was in the stolen wallet at several area stores. However, police said the transactions were declined by the credit card company.

Arrest (prescription fraud), 12:14 p.m. — Police arrested Derek S. Williams, 44, of the 1500 block of Beverly Road, Philadelphia, after he tried to obtain prescription medication with an invalid prescription, according to a report. Williams was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Burglary (Laurel Creek), 7:30-9:45 p.m. — A burglar broke into a residence on the unit block of Sandhurst Drive by forcing open a window and stole $3,200 worth of jewelry and prescription medication, police said. The damage from the break-in is estimated at $600.

April 22

Burglary (Holiday Village East), 2:40-8:55 p.m. — A burglar forced open a window to a home on the 600 block of South Cascade Drive and stole $100 worth of jewelry, according to police.

April 23

Theft, 11:41 p.m. — A man in a red vehicle drove away from the Lukoil station on the 900 block of Route 73 without paying for $55 worth of gas, while the hose was still connected to his car, police said. He caused $500 worth of damage to the pump.

April 24

Arrest (theft), 9 a.m. — Police arrested Christopher Meehan, 24, of the 100 block of Ramblewood Parkway, for a previously reported theft of jewelry from a home on the unit block of Stratford Lane, according to a report. Meehan was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Theft, 10-10:10 a.m. — A woman had two rings, worth a combined $2,300, stolen after she accidentally left them in the bathroom at the Wegmans on Centerton Road while attending to her child there, police said.

Arrest (shoplifting), 12:32 p.m. — Police arrested Serita R. Giordano, 34, of the unit block of East Main Street, Moorestown, for shoplifting approximately $40 in merchandise from Home Depot on Nixon Drive, according to a report. She was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Arrest (possession of marijuana), 10:21 p.m. — Police arrested Danielle Larosa, 20, of the 600 block of Avenue C, Southampton, during the investigation of a motor vehicle collision at Ark Road and Hainesport Road. She was found to be in possession of marijuana (under 50 grams), served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing, police said.

April 26

Arrest (lewdness), 8:35 a.m. — Police arrested Miroslav Oborny, 43, of the 200 block of North Ridge Avenue, Ambler, PA, after officers saw him committing a lewd act in his vehicle while driving on Fellowship Road, according to a report. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Arrest (prostitution), 1 p.m. — During an investigation into prostitution at a hotel on the 600 block of Fellowship Road, police arrested Samantha M. Shannon, 22, of the unit block of Deborah Place, Blackwood, and charged her with engaging in prostitution, according to a report. She was released pending a municipal court hearing. Kenneth Collymore, 33, of the 3000 block of Federal Street, Camden, was charged with promoting prostitution. He was committed to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.  

Arrest (possession of marijuana), 10:24 p.m. — Police arrested a 17-year-old township juvenile during an investigation into a suspicious person complaint in the area of Farnwood Road. He was charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and released pending a court hearing, according to police.
