Police: Customer Pulls Gun on Gas Station Attendant

Mount Laurel Police also arrested a Philadelphia woman for prostitution at a township hotel.

Dec. 28

Arrest (prostitution), 12 p.m. — Police arrested Samantha N. Gomberg, 32, of the 3400 block of North Hope Street, Philadelphia, during a prostitution investigation at a hotel on Fellowship Road, according to a report. She was charged with engaging in prostitution and turned over to Cherry Hill Police for an outstanding arrest warrant.

Fraud, 12:30 p.m. — Police are looking for a man who tried to cash a fraudulent check for more than $1,400 at Columbia Bank, 99 Ramblewood Parkway. The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s, 6 feet tall, with a stocky build, clean-shaven head, full beard and a lazy right eye. He was wearing a gray business suit. The suspect (pictured at right) fled the area before police arrived, according to a report. Theft, 1:45 p.m. — A member of the YMCA on 59 Centerton Road told police a wallet, cell phone and cash were taken from a locker in the men’s locker room.

Arrest (possession of marijuana), 3 p.m. — Police arrested Rachel L. Dash, 19, of the unit block of Durham Court, Mount Laurel, was arrested on Durham Court after police were called to the area for a suspicious vehicle complaint, according to a report. She was charged with possession of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.  

Theft, 7:45 p.m. — Someone stole a wallet, iPhone and keys from the floor of the exercise room at LA Fitness, 4300 Dearborn Circle, after the items were left wrapped in a towel unattended, according to police.

Burglary/theft, 6-11 p.m. — Police said someone broke into a residence on the 100 block of Cobblestone Drive by forcing open a rear window and stole cash and jewelry.

Dec. 29

Arrest (DWI), 2 a.m. — Police arrested Candice Weber, 28, of Country Club Parkway, Mount Laurel, after she was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Route 73, according to a report. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

Armed robbery, 9:25 p.m. — A customer at the Sunoco, at 721 South Church St., got gas and then pulled a handgun on the attendant and demanded money, police said. At the same time, a second vehicle pulled up to get gas and the suspect immediately got back into his vehicle and fled. The suspect is described as 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches, 190 pounds, thin build, clean-shaven, wearing blue jeans, a dark hooded sweatshirt and white sneakers. The suspect was driving a newer model blue Ford Explorer with either tan or gray trim and tinted windows, police said.

Dec. 30

Burglary, 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. — A laptop and several firearms were stolen from a home on the 3800 block of Church Road, according to police. The burglar entered the residence by opening an unlocked window.
