Police Investigate Shopliftings at Wegmans, Adult Book Store

Dec. 1
Theft — Someone stole $100 worth of prescription medication from an office inside a residence at Twin Oaks Community Services on Union Mill Road, police said. The theft occurred between 11:50 p.m. Nov. 27 and 8 a.m. Dec. 1. There was no sign of force to the exterior of the home.
Dec. 2
Fraud (Laurel Creek Condominiums) — A resident of the 3200 block of Limestone Way told police more than $750 in unauthorized purchases were made online using their credit card. The incident occurred between 12 p.m. Nov. 30 and 12 p.m. Dec. 2.
Dec. 5
Shoplifting, 12:02 p.m. — A shoplifter attempted to steal more than $120 in merchandise from Wegmans before being confronted outside the store by loss prevention, police said. The suspect, described as an Asian man wearing a black jacket and tan pants, fled after he was confronted. All the items were recovered. The suspect is pictured here.
Arrest (shoplifting) — Police arrested Andrea Ciarrocchi, 44, of the unit block of Cherrywood Court, Cherry Hill, for allegedly shoplifting $1,099 in merchandise from the Target on Centerton Road, according to a report. Subsequent to her arrest, she was found in possession of heroin, prescription medication not prescribed to her and drug paraphernalia, police said. She was charged with shoplifting, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and released after posting 10 percent of $2,500 bail.
Dec. 6
Attempted burglary (Tricia Meadows) — Police said the rear window of a home on the 700 block of Sable Lane was damaged in an attempt to gain entry to the residence. The incident occurred between 9:45 a.m. Dec. 5 and 9:45 a.m. Dec. 6. Nothing was stolen. Damage is estimated at $150.
Arrest (theft) — Police arrested Anthony B. Melin, 18, of the 100 block of Arch Street, Mount Holly, for allegedly stealing more than $1,100 in cash from the Smoothie King on Dearborn Circle while employed there, according to a report. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.
Theft from vehicle — Police said someone broke the window of a vehicle parked outside Miller’s Ale House on Fellowship Road and stole $100 cash from inside. The theft occurred during an unknown time frame during the evening of Dec. 6. Damage is estimated at $250.
Shoplifting, 11 p.m. — Someone stole $158.99 worth of merchandise from Romantic Video on Route 73, according to police.
