Police Investigating Another Armed Robbery

Delran Police say the Food Mart on Route 130 was robbed at gunpoint Sunday, continuing a recent trend of armed robberies in the area.

Two men robbed the Food Mart on Route 130 at gunpoint Sunday night, the second robbery at the store in the last two weeks, police said.

According to Delran Police, two men—a white male and a black male wearing ski masks—entered the store, at the corner of Route 130 North and Chestnut Hill Drive, shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday. They stole cash and Newport cigarettes and fled on foot on Chestnut Hill Drive.

The first robbery at the Food Mart occurred at 9:38 p.m. on Jan. 16, police said.

Maple Shade Police reported an armed robbery at the Country Farms convenience store on Route 73, also during the snowstorm.

Authorities believe the same group of men are responsible for both robberies, along with five others in Burlington County, as well as the robbery of a 7-Eleven in Pennsauken in Camden County, in which a clerk was shot and critically wounded.
