Police: Local Contractor Dealt Crystal Meth from Home

Maple Shade Police arrested 69-year-old Thomas J. Howey Monday on multiple charges.

A local contractor was arrested Monday following a monthlong investigation into the sale of crystal meth out of his home, according to a police report.

Maple Shade Police arrested Thomas J. Howey, 69, of the 400 block of Stiles Avenue, and charged him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to distribute, certain person not to have weapons, possession of a weapon during a CDS offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of a CDS and reckless driving.

Cherry Hill Police and Lumberton Police assisted in the investigation.

Howey was sent to Burlington County Jail on $50,000 bail, according to a report. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 7.
