Police Make Several Arrests for Simple Assault

Also, police arrest a man who refused to step away from a vehicle fire on North Lenola Road.

April 25

  • Wilson Beza, 36, Union Street, Moorestown, arrested on an outstanding warrant for a simple assault charge stemming from a domestic violence incident, according to police. He was committed to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

April 27

  • Kim Jones, 43, of North Taney Street, Philadelphia, arrested for shoplifting a pair of earrings and lip balm—total value $32.99—from at the Moorestown Mall, police said. Jones was released on a summons.

  • Tracey Blackton-Kopp, 49, of Castleton Lane, Moorestown, arrested on simple assault in connection with a domestic violence incident on Lenola Road, according to police. She was released on a summons.

May 1

  • Joseph Yacono, 42, of Broad Street, Mount Holly, arrested after police said he refused orders from the fire chief to move away from a burning vehicle on North Lenola Road while firefighters were attempting to put out the blaze. Yacono was charged with disorderly conduct and released on a special summons.
  • Stephen Labar, 30, Edgemoor Road, Cherry Hill, and Michelle Levin, 30, of West Main Street, Moorestown, arrested on charges of simple assault stemming from a domestic violence incident on West Main Street, police said. Labar was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (prescription drugs). Both were released on summonses.

  • Christine Jones, 46, of South Broad Street, Woodbury, arrested for disorderly conduct stemming from an incident at the Moorestown Mall food court, police said. More information about the incident was not immediately available.
