Police: Man Was Growing 19 Pot Plants in Yard
Also, Maple Shade Police arrest a man they say burglarized a family's home while they were on vacation.

Criminal mischief, 12:05 a.m. — A rock was thrown through the window of a new home under construction on the unit block of East Front Street, police said.
Sept. 6
Burglary, 10:35 a.m. — Police arrested Daniel Bell, 29, of Frederick Avenue, Maple Shade, for allegedly burglarizing the home of a family on South Lippincott Avenue, according to a report. A friend, who had been taking care of animals in the house while the family was on vacation at the shore, noticed items were out of place, police said. A 46-inch Samsung TV, a DVD-VCR player, a 24-inch Insignia TV, a DeWalt cordless drill and some jewelry had all been stolen. According to police, Bell gained entry to the house through a basement window under the rear deck. He was arrested and sent to Burlington County Jail. The victim’s TVs and drill were recovered and returned.
Sept. 11
Arrest, 10:18 a.m. — Police arrested George A. Wilhelm, 58, of Rudderow Avenue, for growing 19 marijuana plants in his backyard, according to a report. The New Jersey State Police Marijuana Eradication Unit and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office Guns, Gangs and Narcotics Task Force aided in the investigation. Wilhelm posted 10 percent of $5,000 bail and was released pending court, police said.
