Police: Masked Man Breaks Into Home

Also, police investigate multiple burglaries and make a number of DWI arrests.

June 5

Attempted burglary (Brittany Commons), 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Police said someone tried to force their way into a residence on the 5500 block of Aberdeen Drive. Nothing was reported stolen. Damage to the door is estimated at $220.  

June 6

Arrest (shoplifting), 12:55 p.m. — Police arrested Jonathan R. Delviscio, 33, of the 800 block of Crescent Avenue, Runnemede, for shoplifting approximately $149.36 in merchandise from Home Depot on Nixon Drive. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Burglary (Larchmont), 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Approximately $6,600 in jewelry was stolen from a residence on the 100 block of Malvern Court, police said. The thief got in through an unlocked door.

Arrest (shoplifting), 2:11 p.m. — Police arrested Vicki Zeitlin, 50, of the 200 block of Dogwood Drive, Edgewater Park, for shoplifting $629.47 from Target on Centerton Road. Police said Zeitlin under-rang merchandise on several occasions while working at Target. She was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Burglary (Holiday Village) — Someone broke into a home on the unit block of Moneta Court by forcing open a window and stole $1,000 in jewelry, police said. The theft occurred between May 21 and 10:45 p.m. June 6. Damage to the window is estimated at $300.  

June 7
 
Criminal mischief (Essex Place), 6:30-7:10 a.m. — Someone broke two flower pots and a hanging basket—causing about $93 damage—at a home on the 4800 block of Essex Lane, according to police.

June 8

Arrest (DWI), 1:09 a.m. — Police arrested John A. Kurtz, 41, of the 1700 block of Augusta Circle, after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Church Road, according to a report. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Attempted burglary — An employee of Gottleib and Associates, 1120 Route 73, told police someone tried to force open a door to their office suite between 6:45 p.m. June 7 and 9:20 a.m. June 8. Approximately $100 in damage was done to the door.

Burglary (Birchfield), 10 p.m. — A masked man wearing a winter coat and gloves broke into a home on the unit block of Meadowrue Drive by forcing open a window, police said. A resident saw the burglar walking down the hallway of the home and yelled out to him, at which point the suspect fled. Nothing was reported missing, police said.

June 9

Arrest (DWI), 1:21 a.m. — Police arrested Bryan Tomlin, 43, of the 500 block of Meadow Court, after stopping him for a motor vehicle violation on Pleasant Valley Avenue. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.  

Arrest (DWI), 2:40 a.m. — Police arrested Richard Sullivan, 57, of the Village of Stoney Run, Maple Shade, after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Route 73. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

June 11

Criminal mischief — A sewer line on Longbridge Drive was filled with landscaping rocks sometime prior to 8 p.m., police said, causing an estimated $3,000 damage.

Shoplifting, 7:58 p.m. — Someone stole a box of pain relievers, worth $8.19, from the ShopRite on Nixon Drive, police said.

Arrest (DWI), 10:49 p.m. — Police arrested Tracie A. Harmon, 44, of the unit block of Greensward Lane, Cherry Hill, after she was stopped on Church Road. Harmon was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing, police said.

June 12

Theft, 12:15-12:35 a.m. — Police said a water extractor, valued at $1,000, was stolen from a residence on the unit block of Longbridge Drive.

Arrest (assault), 8:15 p.m. — Police arrested Chris Sottolano, 50, of the unit block of Wood Lark Drive, for an assault that occurred at the Laurel Acres Park on May 20, according to a report. He was served with criminal complaints and released on $2,500 bail.
