Police: Thieves Swipe $20K in Separate Burglaries

Also, Mount Laurel Police make multiple DWI and drug arrests.

June 17

Theft, 7-7:30 p.m. — Someone stole $35 in cash out of a wallet that was inadvertently left at Miller’s Ale House on Fellowship Road, police said.

June 18

Theft, 7:30 a.m. — Police said $291 cash was stolen from an unattended cash drawer at the Rodeway Inn on Route 73.

Arrest (credit card fraud), 9:45 a.m. — Police arrested George L. Morringelli III, 39, of the 100 block of Church Road, Medford, after he illegally used another person’s credit card to buy prescription medication at the Walgreens on Route 38 on May 21, according to a report. He was taken into custody on outstanding warrants on Midlantic Drive, police said, served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

June 19

Arrest (DWI), 1:25 a.m. — Police arrested Erik A. Undercuffler, 45, of the 3000 block of Greenwood Court, after he was stopped on Larchmont Boulevard, according to a report. Undercuffler was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Criminal mischief, 2-5 p.m. — Someone broke the window of a vehicle parked on the 300 block of Willow Turn, causing an estimated $400 damage, police said.

Arrest (DWI), 9:14 p.m. — Police arrested Garrett R. Block, 22, of the 400 block of Magnolia Road, after he struck a utility pole on Hainesport Road, according to a report. Police said Block was transported to Virtua Hospital in Marlton for evaluation and later charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

June 20

Theft — Police said an iPad, valued at $965, was stolen from a room at the Hotel ML on Route 73 after a guest accidentally left it in the room. The theft occurred between 8:30 a.m. June 19 and 10:13 a.m. June 20. There was no sign of forced entry to the room, police said.

Burglary (Madison Place), 11:30 a.m. to 1:40 p.m. — Police said a burglar broke into a home on the first block of Saxony Drive by forcing open the front door and stole about $9,500 worth of various items, including jewelry, a computer and an electronic gaming device.

Burglary, 8:45 a.m. to 3:04 p.m. — A burglar forced open a side window to a residence on the 5100 block of Church Road and stole approximately $10,000 worth of jewelry, according to police. Damage to the window is estimated at $50.

Arrest (shoplifting) — Police arrested Craishon Blackshear, 19, of the 100 block of Morris Avenue, Trenton, Natasha L. Richardson, 25, of the 300 block of Main Street, Tullytown, PA, Eric D. Murphy, 29, of the unit block of West Paul Street, Trenton, and two juvenile males from Trenton for shoplifting $600 in merchandise from Ulta Cosmetics on Nixon Drive, according to a report. Murphy was also charged with hindering apprehension after police said he provided false identifying information to officers. All were served with criminal complaints and released pending court hearings.

Arrest (theft) — Police arrested Marc Falkenstein, 26, of the 900 block of Park Avenue Apartments, Pennsauken, following an investigation into the theft of jewelry from a residence on the unit block of Knighton Lane between May 27 and June 6, according to a report. Falkenstein was charged with theft and committed to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bail.

June 21

Criminal mischief — Someone spray-painted graffiti on a vinyl fence at the Kiddie Academy on the unit block of Birchfield Drive, police said. The incident occurred between 6:30 p.m. June 20 and 6:30 a.m. June 21. Damage is estimated at $200.

Criminal mischief (Stonegate) — A cable line was pulled from the connection box outside a residence on the unit block of Stokes Road sometime between 11 p.m. June 20 and 2:30 a.m. June 21, police said, causing an estimated $100 damage.

June 22

Arrest (DWI), 9:52 p.m. — Police arrested James V. Daley, 46, of the 100 block of McKinley Avenue, Turnersville, after he fled the scene of an accident on Route 38 at Marter Avenue, according to a report. Police stopped Daley on Route 38 near Bishops Gate Boulevard and he was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

June 23

Arrest (DWI), 2:39 a.m. — Police arrested Carol A. Gale, 21, of the unit block of Hercules Court, Sewell, after she was stopped on Fellowship Road for a motor vehicle violation, according to a report. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Arrest (DWI), 3:05 a.m. — Police arrested Alexandra E. Karr, 20, of the 600 block of Wharton Road, after she was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Dorchester Road, according to a report. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

June 24

Arrest (possession of marijuana), 3:50 p.m. — Police arrested Glenn E. Foley, 41, of the 200 block of Garfield Avenue, Collingswood, after stopping him on Route 73 for a motor vehicle violation, according to a report. Foley was charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

June 25

Theft — Someone smashed the passenger side window of a vehicle parked outside Camden Bag and Paper, 114 Gaither Drive, and stole a GPS and E-ZPass transponder, valued at approximately $200, police said. The incident occurred sometime between 6 p.m. June 24 and 7 a.m. June 25. Damage is estimated at $500.

Criminal mischief (Larchmont Place), 12:01-7:30 a.m. — Police said someone broke a window at the Larchmont Crossings Apartments, causing an estimated $250 damage.

Gas leak (Stonegate), 12:34 p.m. — A construction employee accidentally damaged a gas line on Stokes Road, police said. Residents in the area were briefly evacuated while PSEG repaired the line. Mount Laurel Police and Fire Department responded to the scene.

June 26

Arrest (hindering), 2:51 a.m. — Police arrested Victor A. Veletanga, 23, of the unit block of Madison Drive, Maple Shade, when he allegedly provided false identifying information to an officer after being stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Route 73, according to a report. Veletanga was served with a criminal complaint and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Criminal mischief — Several signs and electrical boxes were spray-painted at the Gateway Business Park on Gaither Drive, causing an estimated $250 damage, police said. The incident occurred between 6 p.m. June 25 and 6 a.m. June 26.

Theft — Thieves stole three 45-foot box trailers from the parking lot outside Food Science Corporation, 118 Gaither Drive, according to police. The trailers contained old equipment and metal shelving, valued at approximately $30,000.

June 27

Criminal mischief (Birchfield) — A vehicle mirror was broken on the unit block of West Bluebell Lane between 10 p.m. June 26 and 8 a.m. June 27. Damage is estimated at $100, police said.

Criminal mischief (Wildflowers) — Someone broke a vehicle window on the unit block of Trillium Lane sometime between 9 p.m. June 14 and 1:52 p.m. June 27, causing an estimated $200 damage, police said.

Criminal mischief — Someone shot paintballs through the windows of a business on the 100 block of Creek Road, causing an estimated $500 damage, police said. The incident occurred between 5 p.m. June 26 and 10:30 a.m. June 27.


June 28

Arrest (disorderly person), 1:10 a.m. — Police arrested Daniel P. Haney, 36, of the 6200 block of Baltimore Drive, Marlton, at Miller’s Ale House on Fellowship Road. Police said Haney became disorderly after employees asked him to leave the bar. He was charged with disorderly conduct and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Burglary (Brittany), 6:30-10 p.m. — A burglar entered a residence on the 3000 block of Greenwood Court through a window and stole a laptop, jewelry and a video game system, valued at approximately $1,400 total, according to police.
