State Supreme Court Denies Man's Request for Appeal of Life Sentence in 2003 Murder

A Cherry Hill man serving life in prison for the murder of his mail-order bride lost his appeal to have his conviction overturned this week, the Courier Post reports.

Lester Barney, 69, was convicted in the 2003 murder of Alla Barney, 26. She was murdered as she was picking up their son from a daycare center in Mount Laurel, according to the report.

He was convicted in 2005, according to the report.
