Suspect Found With Handgun, Loaded Magazine in Burlington County Motel

Tyrone Francis, of Willingboro, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

A Willingboro man was charged after Cinnaminson Police found with a 9 mm handgun and a loaded magazine in his room at the Garden State Inn Wednesday night.

Tyrone Francis, 22, was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, police announced Thursday morning.

A Cinnaminson police officer was on patrol at the Garden State Inn at about 10 p.m. Wednesday night when he discovered there were two warrant for the arrest of one of its occupants. The officer and two other officers knocked on the door and made contact with Francis. Francis was placed under arrest for the warrants, at which time police noticed evidence of narcotics use in plain sight.

Police conducted a search of the room and uncovered numerous paraphernalia items, the gun and a loaded magazine.

Francis was lodged in Burlington County Jail in default of $25,000 bail.
